Why we keep building in Stockport

A £1bn regeneration, 410 acres of redevelopment and a Sunday Times endorsement: the case behind our third Stockport scheme.

QUBE (formerly Petersgate House) is our largest scheme to date. Hazelgate is bringing nineteen new homes to Hazel Grove. This month we want to explain why so much of our pipeline keeps pointing at one town.

Stockport is in the middle of a £1 billion town-centre regeneration programme (one of the largest in the UK) covering 410 acres, with 8,000 new homes planned over the next fifteen years alongside a school, health hub and riverside park. The Sunday Times named it the best place to live in the North West, and the "New Berlin" tag has stuck for a reason.

What it means for buyers

Homes bought in a town mid-regeneration tend to be bought into an improving picture: transport, public realm and amenities that get better year on year. Stockport's rail links already put Manchester thirteen minutes away and London under two hours.

We are actively appraising further buildings in the borough. If you know of one that deserves a second life, our door is open.
